Welcome to Mailing Lists!

We have found these helpful ways to keep track of current events in developmental psychology.

Feel free to add any gems you uncover.

Journal Alerts (Blackwell, APA)

A handy way to keep up! Register at these publishers to receive an emailed table of contents (linked to abstracts and full text) each time a new issue of your chosen journal(s) is published. You can skim all the abstracts, and read in depth any articles that look relevant to your areas of interest. Note that you can also use RefWorks to download citations and abstracts for each issue en masse, as an easy way to later track down something you remember reading.

Tomorrow's Professor

This list sends biweekly excerpts of articles/books about professional development for teachers (you will receive virtually no other messages). Topics vary widely, and have included musings on teaching/research balance, how to use technology in the classroom, reform in graduate school curricula, etc.

Speciality List-servs

Developmental

One of the items published on this listserv is a bimonthly list of in-press articles, with authors' email addresses. You can request advance copies of manuscripts relevant to your work, and also submit your own to the list. It's also a good source for conference calls and job openings
