When you register for Conferences, if not before, you'll notice the option to become a member. Weirdly enough, this is something you can put on your CV, so you should seriously consider membership in the following list of societies. Each one will cost you between $25-75, so consider your options. Membership brings discounted conference registration fees, also, plus you'll receive hard copies of the society's journals.
